The Joshua Grindle Inn invites you to stay at our stunning Grindle Guest House. This warm, inviting home meets our same exacting standards for comfort, cleanliness, and relaxation.
 Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, bordered by a small creek the house is surrounded by decks and gardens and offers a beautiful blue water ocean view. The house is located just minutes north of the picturesque Village of Mendocino and is a short walk from the magnificent Russian Gulch State Park. Not far to the north, historic Point Cabrillo Light Station provides another great walk and, in season, the best whale-watching.
The Grindle Guest House is perfect for a couple or two who seek the enjoyment of preparing meals in a bright and airy gourmet kitchen with spacious tile counter tops, Jenn Air gas cooktop and electric convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and more.
The kitchen opens onto the dining area overlooking the elegant sunken living room with large wood burning fireplace and vaulted ceilings. The floor-to ceiling windows offer views of the ocean and woods. The spacious upstairs Master suite has a private ocean-view deck, King bed and large, well-lit bathroom featuring an oval two-person tub, separate glass enclosed shower and twin sinks.
First level bedroom offers a queen bed, ocean view and bath with tub and shower.
Stroll onto the wrap-around decks from every room through sliding glass doors. A unique loft area presents a quiet spot to work, study or just relax.

Cancellations
- 30 day notice required for full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice, no refund or credit will be given.
 Other Important Items
- Smoking restricted to outside decks and gardens
- A cleaning fee will be charged if guests smoke indoors
- Check in time is from 3pm-6pm
- To guarantee our arrival times our 11 am check out time stands firm.
- Firewood, linens and towels, and bath amenities are provided
- No maid service or breakfast is included
